OrmaCheppu - NSSCE Alumni eMagazine

OrmaCheppu ( ഓര്‍മ്മച്ചെപ്പ് ) is an online eMagazine.

Each year, as our annual day approaches, we begin work on the Annual Souvenir. Often it is a last minute running around, to gather the works from among us, and then the editorial team sits down for the final filtering, editing, layout, printing etc.

This eMagazine is an attempt to streamline the process of assimilating the creative contributions of the alumni, all through the year, in order to avoid the last minute scrambling.

The eMagazine, which is set as a blogger blog, will be open to all readers. The blog is hosted with the blogspot server and is available at:

http://ormacheppu2009.blogspot.com/

The alumni members can send articles, stories, poetry, technical articles, photographs, drawings, paintings... any thing which you feel is publishable. Always keep the annual souvenir in your mind when sending your creations, since that solely is the final objective of this eMagazine.

It would have been nice if we could publish jokes, lunginews, inspirational powerpoint presentations, emails that explain in the most convincing way, why you should forward this mail to 10 people within the next hour etc...

But that, unfortunately, is not the purpose of this eMagazine. Please keep this in mind before you hit the SEND button.

Your entries can be sent as email attachments to nssce.ormacheppu@googlemail.com

The blog supports both English and Malayalam. More help on typing in Malayalam is available at http://malayalam.epathram.com/

Since we all have our own normally busy schedules to keep, please do not scan or hope to fax your entries. And please avoid word documents.

Text entries have to be typed in notepad in text format and to be saved as txt file and sent as attachment.

Pictures may please be saved as .jpg files and attached to emails.

The selected entries would appear on the blog and it is hoped that this would work as a catalyst to inspire and encourage more and more participation in this collective effort. Parents may please explain this to the kids and involve them also in this process. The published articles and creations will be available as separate web pages. More active participants would also get a bonus page to publish their profile online. This would also be a permanent online presence for the kids to show off to their friends.

The entries received will also be judged prior to the Annual Day and prizes will be distributed during the Annual Day celebrations for the best entry in each category.

Let's get this moving...
